• Ministerial Decree No. 43 of 2016
Issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry to regulate the import of certain industrial goods into the Egyptian market.
o It requires importers to have factories producing these goods registered with the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).
o Objective: To ensure the quality of imported products, combat commercial fraud, and protect Egyptian consumers.• Ministerial Decree No. 44 of 2019
Complemented and amended the previous decree.
o It added provisions to facilitate registration and clarify accreditation and rejection procedures.The decrees emphasized the necessity of submitting quality certificates (ISO) and having documents authenticated by chambers of commerce or any government agency approved by Egyptian embassies in the country of origin until they are authenticated by the Egyptian embassy in the country.

• Protecting public health and safety.
• Combating the entry of products of unknown origin or non-compliant products.
